Vector Pictogram Set
This was a graphic design project I did in an illustration class sophomore year at Washington University in St. Louis. The task was to design a series of cohesive pictograms for one type of animal and then create matching pictograms for three other kinds. I did birds as my main one (which is why there's an overwhelming majority of them), and then also created a matching butterfly, fish and cat.
The inspiration for the visual language of these designs was the decoration on a pencil case I have, coupled with some old Slavic and Indian art. I've always been a sucker for folk mythology and stuff...
