I was given the task to recreate the Valletta map as a promotional tool for a documentary entitled "Valletta Living History". The documentary is based on Valletta's long and rich history and primarily focuses on the City's importance during the Great Siege of Malta.
I decided to style the map on 17th Century maps of Malta found while researching. Detail in both topographic accuracy and element design was given immense importance, resulting in a beautifully crafted map.
