The True Value of Design
" The True Value of Design" is an editorial project with vector ilustrations to discuss about what continues to sustain my passion for design and how I overcome the challenges that I had faced in the sphere of design. All the text are personal thoughts that I will like to share.
I had taken a relative different approach with this project. Previously in most of my books, I had mostly used photography to juxapose with typography to discuss any issues but for this project, I had decided to go with the flat look and feel. Hence, there is no presence of photography but purely typographic treatment and vector illustrations. I tried to have fun by inducing Chinese typography kind of kenning into English typography.
The choice of paper is also different in sense that I tried to experiment by matching luminous pink paper with pale blue colored book sleeve with internal spreads made up of peach pastel paper.
"i believed that we are fighting for this sense of ownership and the beauty of new creation."
