This project is a hypothetical System Design college project. In this course, we were required to study an existing system thoroughly and enhance an aspect of the system by providing design solutions. I chose Furtado's Music Company as a system. During the research I realized that Furtado's, Pune is associated with a lot of music schools and events and this fact is not publicized as much as it should be. I decided to use this fact to the advantage of the company's image so that they wouldn't have to rely on other companies for their publicity.
And hence, The Mic.
The Mic is an event wherein Furtado's will invite people, targeting the youth specifically, since they are their primary audience to donate their old music instruments, books, posters, CDs etc. All these things would be exhibited in the store for a week so that people can walk-in to see the collection. After the event is over Furtado's will refurbish the items and give them to the music schools to be used by the students.
This event not only projects a certain image of Furtado's as a company but will also make it visible to the youth.
