The Third Annual Fannies Awards is a celebration of Teletoon’s humorous sense of adventure in television programming. Hosted by Fred from Teletoon At Night, this special event parodies the Oscars’ awards. Instead of the category for “Best actor”, “Best Direction” and so on, the Fannies awards the “Best Man Bum”, the “Best Cleavage”, the “Best Robot”, “Best Sword”, and the last but not least, the “John Stamos Award for Best Hair”!

 

A series of five illustrative pieces were especially created to offset each of the award categories this year. The conception of these bizarre illustrations sprung from a pre-existing Fannies Awards Globe where strange creatures and the pen and ink style were first introduced. These illustrations became a central element for the day of the event as well as digital and non-digital promotional packages.
