Sticky is a crafts and scrapbooking magazine that is distributed monthly to large craft stores for free. This magazine provides endless amounts of creative ideas for new crafts and projects. This magazine teaches how to incorporate simple techniques to make an amazing piece of art. It teaches how sentimental the arts can be, and how feelings and emotions can be conveyed through this medium. Sticky caters to females from the ages of thirteen to adulthood, who are interested in and have a passion for the arts, especially craft-making.
This magazine was designed so it is small enough to be placed in a purse, and can therefore be read on long commutes. The colour palette used in the development of Sticky was meant to inspire happiness and comfort on a rainy day, which is typical in Vancouver. This colour palette also attracts our main target audience — young girls and women from all age categories. Because of the petite size of the magazine, it is perfect for scrapbooking clubs or meetings. Ideas can be shared, and it is a convenient size to be kept in most craft/scrapbook material storage cases.
