Stackers Diner Identity

Stackers Diner Identity
in 2009, "super couple" Nicole Shirray and Glen Cherlet decided to try their hand at running a food truck. Both being a fan of classic diner food, they hired me to create a friendly, welcoming identity which would help them attract hungry customers.
After exhaustive research into diner culture and the prevailing art styles of the time, I developed a logo which could evoke familiarity for the classic diners and Americana of days past. With bold shapes and inviting colours, I hoped to turn heads and crack smiles.
The couple weren't able to justify the cost of double sided business cards, so a single sided card was developed, using shapes and patterns reminiscent of classic diner culture.
The design was also applied to a letter package which offered a warm, cheerful design to their official communications.
