Snow Lion/ Foo Dog

Snow Lion
 AKA Foo Dog
This is my representation of a Snow Lion, the national animal emblem of Tibet.
"The Snow Lion resides in the East and represents unconditional cheerfulness, a mind free of doubt, clear and precise. It has a beauty and dignity resulting from a body and mind that are synchronized.
The Snow Lion has a youthful, vibrant energy of goodness and a natural sense of delight.
Associations: main quality is fearlessness, dominance over mountains, and the earth element."( Wikipedia)
Given the above description I chose to depict my Snow Lion as a symmetrical being (for the most part) among storm clouds and curlicues. I attempted to portray him in a misty, dreamy environment by using a mostly gray, black and white color pallette. I portrayed him with a laughing, roaring expression and, to add to the mirth and mistery, made his eyes of two different colors.
