After listening to this killer, essential, "made in Heaven" jazz album  I came up with these images for the album's cover.  Borrowing from my ParamGuru Sri Yukteswar's quote:

"In shallow men the fish of little thoughts cause much commotion. In oceanic minds the whales of inspiration make hardly a ruffle", I chose to portray Miles mind blowing talent with illustrations of the ocean, whales, the full moon... The side faces are from another of his albums covers, but now modified and transformed.  

The implied downward arrows of the water and the whales dive is to represent the profound depths Miles went in his own soul in search of music. At last the little eagles flying is a representation of the Air element or the breath that came out of this amazing trumpeteer !
