BRIEF
Create a self-promotion brand to introduce yourself as a graphic designer. Your design style and personality must be expressed by the identity. The corporate identity should consist of: A logo design, letterhead, business card, quotation form, email tag, CD cover, data sheet and promotional items.
CONCEPT
I identified that my focus on detail can extend my hours of work, but the perfect end result makes is a personal strength. In many of my projects I use idioms to generate ideas. This method inspired my concept, as I try to turn something often regarded as old, into something fresh and new. Fieterjasies is an archaic Afrikaans word for intricate nitty-gritty details that can be unnecessary but that adds to visual presentation, creativity and the holistic interpretation of the project. Playing around with homophones, a litter of VOETERHASIES was born.
