It's sometimes tough to communicate an issue like sex-trafficking. Restore NYC is a non-profit based in NYC that is dedicated to the after care for international sex-trafficking survivors. The mission is one that is transformative and rooted in hope and renewal for broken lives.
I created a book and brochure to communicate the story and mission of the organization. Typography and layout were treated with a strong editorial design sense to guide the reader's attention through the subject matter appropriately for both a quick fast read and a slow read. Quotes and stories from a survivor were curated through the piece to ground the narrative in the humanity of the issue. An ethereal and poetic feeling was communicated with the visual art direction to convey the aspirational and hopeful feel of the organization.
