During the financial crises many chocolate and sweet manufacturers began to use cheaper low-quality stuff in order to keep the prices on the previous level. The aim was to show that Roshen (the biggest Ukrainian chocolate and sweets manufacturer) unlike others used only the best quality stuff without any compromises.
The dialog between mother and daughter is following:
Mother: So what? Have you met the director?
Mother: And what? You declined again?
Daughter annoyed: Mum! With such roles I even can't dream of getting Oscar!..
Mother soothingly: Yes... but maybe you at least start doing anything?..
After the scene with telebubbies the narrator says: We don't mind the compromises... but not in chocolate. Roshen. Absolutely black, absolutely qualitative.
