From providing immunizations to preparing for disaster, the services that Dakota County Public Health
provides are varied. Just as varied are the audiences that they reach. As a result the challenge for us was
to develop an identity that would reflect their multiple purposes and messaging that was targeted to each audience. The result was a brand that revolved around the four major categories of programming and
services they offered: To good health; to healthy kids; to lifelong support and to staying safe. Each category was assigned a brand color. Promotion of programs within that area would include the brand color that reflected the category of program. From there we began developing messaging for the various audiences,
from businesses to parents to residents interested in services. The result is a consistency in design and communication across vastly different program areas.
