Usually an idea is the driving force for the artwork, but it always changes as the line changes.
Sometimes a single line will lead to a fully developed concept. Final illustrations are always a mix of lines and ideas.
Illustration can be black and white. Color can give an illustration a sort of extra dimension and vitality.
To work this way is a kind of meditation: you have to really concentrate.
I think the main thing is to learn to see things in a different way, to allow yourself to imagine and to leave space for the fantastical.
Where the imagination begins?
Thank you!
