Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera
Tony Award-winning Costume Design by Maria Bjornson, Draping by Pat Murphy at Parsons-Meares LTD
I've worked as a first hand on many Phantom of the Opera rebuild clothes, including those for the Longest Running Show on Broadway Celebration and debut of the Las Vegas production.

For Christine's negligee my tasks included cutting, making belting and bow pieces, hem corrections, setting up ruffles and cuffs.
The butterfly masquerade costume was one on which as a first hand I was given the chance to further my applique skills by setting up all appliqued elements.  I was also involved in the calculations for establishing the tutu layers, their cutting and assembly.
Over the course of building three full sets of Sylvan Glade costumes as a first hand, I was able to work on all aspects of these costumes.  Some highlights of the work included making hundreds of ribbon flowers, correcting bodice patterns, and honing my romantic tutu skills.
Christine's Masquerade dress (pictured in-process) is another costume I assisted construction of on multiple occasions.  A few of the tasks involved were prepping all elements for the beaders and painter, tutu assembly and the extensive circular ruffle sleeves.
As a first hand on Meg's Masquerade costume I cut and pinned the tights, did handwork on the drape and cuffs and assembled the jabot.
