The new Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine at Penn Medicine is a signature building by Rafael Vinoly and Associates. An appropriate installation was required to adequately recognize the levels of capital campaign contributers. The design was required to suggest prestige and permanence. Reacting to the architecture (and the levels of giving), the design is a blend of traditional and contemporary form - consisting of oxidized bronze dimensional letters on changeable light block carriers in an asymmetric arrangement. The composition also provides opportunities for future growth. The installation is prominently displayed in the ground floor atrium entrance.
