My first experience in book design was quite deep — involved long research of cultural and design references, traditions and restrictions. It was quite a challenge to refer to soviet book design tradition, rethink the structure of text (intext crosslinks, bibliographical references and illustrations in particular). And of course to test my own knowledge and loyalty to typography and book design laws. After this I feel far more confident in my abilities to design a good book. Bring 'em on!
