OFFF 2011 - "Year Zero" Book
- OFFF 2011 "Year Zero" Book"Year Zero" was a theme of the 2011 edition of OFFF - post-digital culture festival, hosted in Barcelona - the birthplace of the festival. The theme leads us to the keywords like forgetting the past, reinventing ourselves, setting up new rules. Tabula Rasa.My piece was a part of Ars Thanea presence at OFFF and was featured in the OFFF "Year Zero" book, along with pieces from other speakers.
"Step by step"The typography was created from a plaster poured into a letter forms cut out of paper, then foiled not to get too much water from the liquid plaster.After about two days, it was removed from the forms, then sculpted to create cracks, holes (except for bubble holes) and to diversify the surface a little bit.
After that, the type was photographed, then retouched and composed together with the rest of the elements in Photoshop. Some particles were additionally created in 3dsMax.
