The developers of a Norman Foster office at the western end of London Wall needed a small marketing suite to attract tenants.
Our proposal was to airlift a new-build pod onto the flat roof of the Museum of London, opposite. The circular pod nestled within the Museum's structure but was also lifted above it.
To access the suite one walked through the Museum of London: out onto the roof and then into the suite via a staircase. This made the guests walk through a key part of the City fabric whilst becoming disorientated within their immediate environment. Once inside the suite, with no external windows, this feeling was reinforced.
After the sales presentation the presenter activated the opening of a screen: one third the circumference of the suite to provide superb elevated views to the offices being marketed.
