I looked at so many beautiful old maps, map projections, corographic maps and many more just to have a good understanding of cartography tools and their graphic complexity. Really fascinating!
The final product is based on specific textures, stroke thicknesses, typographic hierarchies and a very calculated legend. It's all in the details pretty much!
