There are a number of programs and services that are available to Military Veterans and their families, but it can be difficult to determine which benefits are available and the rules, regulations and laws that apply. Dakota County Veteran Services department exists solely to help Veteran’s determine what benefits they are eligible for and to help them fill out necessary paperwork to receive them. Veteran Services however didn’t have any way to promote what they did in a concise way at the events and meetings they attended. In addition, there are a number of veteran’s returning from tours of duty that are not aware that there is help out there to navigate the benefits. We helped create a piece that honored the service that Veteran’s provided to our country while acknowledging their needs when their direct service has ended and relaying that Dakota County Veteran Services is here to help.
