CD packaging and typeface
CD packaging and typeface designed for Lana Del Rey’s second studio album. The package includes a poster, which has the track listing on one side and a drawing of Del Rey on other. The typeface was inspired by hand painted vintage typefaces found on old shop fronts. Letterforms were first hand-drawn before being computerised, to keep the character and imperfections of the display typeface, often lost in modern typography. These were contrasted with modern sharp lines to give the typeface a clean aesthetic.
