Balbal yontuları, ölüm ve atalar kültü ile alakalı objelerdir. İslam öncesi türk topluluklarında ölüm uçma fiiliyle ilişkilendirilmektedir. Çalışmalar asılarak sergileneceğinden uçma fiiline bir gönderme olarak gökyüzü çağrışımı yaparken aynı zamanda da bağ, kaynak anlamına gelen kök kelimesiyle de uyum göstermesi amaçlanmıştır.
"Balbal"s are sculptures which are related to death and ancestors' cults. In pre-islamic Turkic communities, death is identified with the act of flying. Since the works will be exhibited by hanging, it is aimed to evoke "the sky" as a reference to the act of flying along with an accordance to the meanings of "kök" which are "connection" and "root". This is an effort to reinterpret the objects related to the death and ancestors' cults using the word "kök" which means "sky" in ancient use and "connection" in modern use.
