Honest Chocolate is based in Cape Town where they craft the most delicious raw, organic chocolate that is both sugar and dairy-free. Their signature slabs are all beautifully packaged in original artworks from artists and illustrators around South Africa.

 

They approached me to illustrate a wrapper for their limited edition Valentine's Day bar. A 72% dark chocolate with lemon and rose. The artwork had to be black and white, horizontal (as opposed to their usual verticle bar) and it had this message moulded into the back of the chocolate.

There are little microscopic bits in our bodies whose only other known location in the entire universe is in the cloud of sparks surrounding exploded starts.

I want you to know that if I was the star whose bits travelled billions of light years to be a part of your creation, I would be relieved that my explosion didn't go to waste."
