Working at Harpo Studios in 2001 changed my life.  The influence the people and show had over my life still bleeds into my personal mission today - it's about living to the best of your ability and producing the best of yourself.

When I'm planning a space, I think of the people that will spend more time in that space than maybe at home with their families.  I want to build smart practical spaces that are a little outside of the box of a normal office interior.

This seating area can easily be transformed to hold a reception or used for a quick promo shoot.

The wall consists of sliding panels that are back lit.
The production department was bright and sunny.  Using glass between the workstations opened up the producer's personal space, they requested higher panels for privacy.

Harpo Studios is made up of a campus setting of buildings in Chicago's West Side.  The No. 2 building to join the campus was completely renovated with a modern data center and high tech conference room.
The No.2 building workstations where something I wanted to explore because it allowed the person to see outside of their cubicle.

I decided to install a run of smaller workstations that would be open for visitors, guests and were quickly set up with a computer and phone.
