Gladiator Energetic Drink - package design exercise

  • Gladiator is an energy drink brand of Coca-Cola for the global market. It has different graphics depending on the regional market to which it applies. Unlike other products in its segment, Gladiator is intended for daytime use, to give power to fight for the "eveyday struggle."
    At that time, I created this concept for the brand, where the lion and tiger could bring the symbolism of the "beast", energy, aggressiveness and attitude, attributes of an energy drink. At the same time, it would make the connection with the name Gladiator, since this animals belonged to the universe of the struggle of Gladiators.
    In the visual treatment, I used a graphical language that approaches to the graffiti, to bring youthness, urban look, transgressive attitude and popular appeal.

    Gladiator é uma marca de bebidas energéticas da Coca-Cola para o mercado global que adota diferentes grafismos dependendo do mercado regional a que se aplica. Diferentemente de outros produtos deste segmento, Gladiator é concebido para o uso diurno, parar dar energia à "Luta do dia-a-dia".
    À época, criei esse conceito para a marca, onde os felinos leão e tigre trariam o simbolismo da "fera", energia, agressividade e atitude que seriam os atributos de uma bebida energética. Ao mesmo tempo, fariam a conexão com o nome Gladiator, visto que eram animais pertencentes ao universo da lutda dos Gladiadores.
    No tratamento visual, utilizei uma linguagem gráfica que se aproxima do "grafiti" para trazer um caráter jovem, urbano, transgressor e popular.
