Guadalajara-Miami based agency "Tuna" commissioned us a pitch for "Fresh", a new programming slate launched on Mtv Tr3s (the bi cultural Mtv network that embraces both American and Latin American cultures -and music- in the US). We were asked to create the concept for a series of bumpers. We also received some indications from our client such us using models, only close-ups and the fewest graphics possible in a 8 second-long announcement. We had 24 hours to get the whole thing done.
Although water was the first thing that came to our minds, we ended up working with fresh -and raw- food. In that way, models -looking straight to the camera- were surprised with a fresh product shooted on their faces. Raw meat, fish, and watermelon were just examples of what to use. To illustrate the idea we'd made up, we called some friends to use them as models. The creation of these simple videos has been an useful tool to help our client understand the way our idea would work in the bumpers. We were also able to set the audio concept and graphic style for the programming ID.
