Solar Microinverter
The Enphase M215 Microinverter is installed to a solar array with a single bolt and a snap in power cable. The slim design benefits from a stamped metal top sheet which improves thermal characteristics, allows an embossed logo, forms the grounding channel, and houses an attachment slot. The cable entryway was designed so that the bottom housing and electronics can be used alone on OEM solar modules.
This project was completed as Project Lead at Y Studios along with Wai-Loong Lim, Lisa Yong, Liam Adelman, and Eric Nichols. The design and ease of installation helped Enphase Energy sell their 1 millionth inverter.
