'Disparate Connections' explores the rich avenues of creation, epiphany, insight and imagination which have led to some of the greatest creative masterpieces in history. This exploration aims to unearth and visually represent what these discoveries had in common, what aids epiphany and what guides creation. Examining ideal brain states which encourage creativity, to social conditions which aid creativity, is illustrated within a limited edition newspaper. The accompanying visualization is designed to relax the viewer into the ideal creative state of the theta-alpha border, a relaxed meditative state. This project celebrates creative thought, examines the conditions which led to them, and also explains how to induce the viewer into similar states to harness creativity.
