About DTVC

Dhahran Techno-Valley (DTV) is being established as an integrated technologytransfer ecosystem which brings together a number of critical physical, financial,and intellectual assets. Benchmarks from around the world show that technology transfer ecosystemscan be either entrepreneurship-focused or national champion-focused. Forinstance, ecosystems around major US universities (e.g. Silicon Valley aroundStanford University) are largely entrepreneurship-focused. In comparison,ecosystems in many Asian countries have been formed around science parkswhere national champions acted as critical anchors during the nascent phases ofdevelopment. Daedeok Innopolis in South Korea and the Hsinchu Science Park inTaiwan are two such examples.
DTV is a national champion-focused ecosystem, and the King Abdalla SciencePark (KASP) is its centerpiece. KASP is designed as a collaborative technologydevelopment platform for partner companies, National Champions (e.g. SaudiAramco, SABIC), KFUPM, and Saudi SMEs. With the anchorage of NationalChampions, a technology transfer ecosystem will evolve around KASP.
As the intellectual engine of DTV, KFUPM has been making a dedicated effort tobuild a research culture and capabilities. As a result, KFUPM has contributed170+ patent applications to the ecosystem since 2006. DTV aims to strengthenlinks between KFUPM and industry, align technology and R&D agendas ofKFUPM and various industry players, and ultimately unlock the commercialvalue of intellectual property.
To materialize DTV objectives, KFUPM leadership recognized the need to offer anumber of services to ecosystem players in a more flexible and agile institutionalsetting. Thus in April 2010, the Council of Ministers empowered KFUPM toestablish a university-owned company operating on commercial terms, and theDhahran Techno-Valley Company (DTVC) was born.



Concept

By virtue of that this is a huge project and adject many institutions andlarge companies on the local and global level and the company also seeks to expand its activities in the future so we focused on core values and goals which theDTVC has embraced.
In the process of building Dhahran technology valley identity we focused on the core values and principleswhich the company is adopting, trying to embody these values through symbols and visual Elements to repre-sent the DTVC brand. Growth, development, bright future, contributions to GDP, to support projects and aca-demic researches, job creations, contributions to entreprenevial activity, help emerging companies in the localmarket to get into the global market and a lot of goals which covet the DTV to achieve through the DTVCproject. Such huge national projects considered as a nascent initiative in this region, a revolutionary project willput the Kingdom and the partners particularly in the ranks of companies and the world's first institutions in thisfield. Support and regulate intellectual property rights, support and develop scientific research and make it aviable reality,This a large development and renaissance door will be open through DTVC project.
The identity system embodies three key concepts have been devised by understanding and extensive searchprocess of the DTVC branding elements. 

1- Growth, Development, Leadership, Giving, Positive economic return, Bright future. 

2- Basic economics in Saudi Arabia, which focuses mainly on petrochemical trade, oil and its deriva-tives, since that all partners and national champions are working in this aspect as well the entire regionfocus on the oil trade. We draw first letter in flame wounds to represent this aspect of the DTVC brand. 

3- Water drops become something different when accumulate in one form to make a water surface.With a little wind movement they become a great waves full of energy. Through one single wave wecan see how it is flexible, beautiful and dynamic.
Trying to build a logo consist of energy, efficiency, dynamism and the unique distinguished letter “d” torepresent the DTVC company, we have abstracted both the letter “d” and the wave to form a newiconic, memorable and unique brand identity. 

Feeling or generated impression that logo suggests is; leadership Excellence and progress to the top. Thelogo was painted mounts to the top without limits on the icon gives the impression infinite and progressforward. The DTV company's growth and development is the evolution of all institutions and Partners in thishuge national project. Large branch demonstrates leadership and excellence in this area and the small branchbeside emphasizes cooperation and the importance of partners in the success of this project .”d” character isnot complete without these two branches denote the integration and cooperation.
