Prospect New Town / Longmont, Colorado
A warm light twilight exterior street-scape showcases the new urban Prospect neighborhood while revealing the personality of 'Studio 6' through large S/E windows.
Although the Inc. Magazine competition is formidable, this small office space thinks big. It's south facing windows flood it with natural light and it's 'movable graphic divider wall/workstation' allow the space to be divided or opened up entirely for great flexibility. The playful graphic design characters used on the 'movable wall' are from a Studio No 6 | City of Boulder 'HOP' graphic bus wrap assignment.
The Photography needed to feel as fresh and modern as the office studio and also double as a 'Branding Image Portfolio' for Studio No. 6 and it's very talented lead designer/owner, Traci Jones.
To accomplish that, we used people and blurred motion in some of the photos to convey personality, energy and scale.
We also shot a photo sequence which when played as a slideshow illustrates the movable room divider/flex space concept.
A photo sequence in the Conference Room focused on the 'SIX' branded custom sliding doors reveals a server connected HD display.
The images were delivered just in time for an onsite ribbon cutting and displayed as a repeating slideshow on the large HD display during a catered well attended Chamber of Commerce open house that followed.
*UPDATE: This project won 2nd Runner up in the Small Spaces category of 'Inc Magazine Worlds Coolest Office 2011' international competition.
