Kimberly Timmons Interiors / BSW Office Photo Assignment
Capturing the warmth & depth of a gorgeous yet challenging small Office project
Capturing the warmth & depth of a gorgeous yet challenging small Office project
Boulder, Colorado
Kimberly Timmons of KTI requested that I preview this investment office interior renovation project in Boulder, CO for potential photography for their 'Office Portfolio'. I spent nearly 2 hours taking test shots from many perspectives to determine if & how I might capture this project to meet KTI's high standards.
Though perhaps not evident in the photos, the rooms are actually quite narrow and smaller than they appear. The Reception Room offered very few options for camera or lighting placement. The glass on both Conference Room tables had a blotchy film on the underside that polluted the reflection pool quality of the test images.
Still, even from available light test shots it was clear to me that this project was a topaz gem with great potential. Kimberly agreed. I arranged for the glass top tables to be polished top and bottom and scheduled our shoot with the client / owners.
Showcasing my clients design in it's best light was my goal. Bringing out the reflective depth, colors & quality of materials and space with beautiful light was my task. Achieving it all in a tight space during working office hours was a real challenge.
The proof of success is (always) in the results...
