D&AD: It's Nice That // Something's Popping!

The following images are the outcomes of the group's D&AD: IT'S NICE THAT brief.

These outcomes were shortlisted and submitted onto the D&AD Student Awards 2013
website under the student category for IT'S NICE THAT brief.

The creative idea for this entry would be a pop up cafe that runs as a promotional campaign for 'It's Nice That'. The campaign consists of three phases namely, pre-launch, launch and post campaign.

In the pre-launch phase, a wall teaser and teaser booklet are designed to create curiosity of 'It's Nice That'.

In the launch phase, a pop up cafe would be situated in different college campuses by rotation during college events like open days. This is to promote and create awareness of 'It's Nice That' to both new and existing students in different creative colleges and universities. It also serves as a platform to attract and engage students to meet and share creative insights and ideas through the website, magazine and design collaterals of 'It's Nice That'.

In the post campaign phase, a vending machine that dispenses copies of 'It's Nice That' bi-annual magazine issues will serve as a continuation of the campaign to leave an impactful impression and memory of 'It's Nice That'.

The group decided to tackle on the IT'S NICE THAT brief in which the problem is about connecting 'It's Nice That' magazine with a huge student population, both who are aware of 'It's Nice That' and those who have yet to discover it.

Thus, the group came up with the solution of setting up a 'Pop-Up Cafe' - a promotional campaign that will be situated in different college campuses by rotation during college events like open days.

The 'Pop-Up Cafe' is a collaboration between 'It's Nice That' and some of the top creative college. Through this 'Pop Up Cafe' it enables a platform for creative students to meet and share their ideas as well as to engage and create awareness about 'It's Nice That' through their website, magazine and events.
