Cesare Malfatti's music gets a touch jazzy. His new CD thus sounds like a tiny, pleasurable distraction from his usual journey, and so do the snapshots that he likes to take during concerts, holidays and at home, turned into post-cards featuring the lyrics and inserted in the CD package. The font looks classic but was designed by hand: a perfect match for a visual communication approach that is at the same time familiar and unusual. The nine photos can all be positioned as front covers, depending on the way the packaging is positioned. The pack of postcards is vacuum sealed and given by hand or sent by post: it includes a dedication, numbering, dates and postage stamps.
