Boosted Boards Kickstarter Design

Boosted Boards launched a revolutionary electric longboard on Kickstarter. It weighs only 12-16 pounds, can go 20 mph, has regenerative braking, and can go 6 miles before recharging.  In addition to being a lot of fun, it is also a great last mile vehicle, which allows more people to use public transportation.

We helped Boosted boards with the design and rendering work of the board and advanced thumb wheel controller for their kickstarter campaign. You can see the funded kickstarter project here.

The drivetrain, mechanical, and electrical design for the board were completed by John Ulmen and the Boosted Boards team. The deck is by Loaded and the wheels are by Orangatang. Designs may vary as they are developed for production.
Infinite Collective designed the Boosted Boards ring remote from concepts through to mechanically working 3D prints ready for DFM and manufacturing.  The remote prototype features a working bi-directional, spring-loaded speed control wheel and hidden, ergonomic dead man switch.  The compact design fits well in either of the user's hands, and features an easy to read palm display of remote and skateboard battery life.
