I researched the aerospace manufacturing industry in the U.S., specifically the leading company, Boeing located in Everett, Washington. Through my research I wanted to examine how Boeing compares to the other industry leader, Airbus. Data and charts were collected and modified in an effort to visualize this complex and multi-faceted discussion of competition in industry.
The first poster examines the details of newest and highly anticipated Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Comparisons are drawn between the similar Airbus A-350, manufacturing efficiency, materials of production, orders and deliveries, and local labor concerns. The poster also begins to highlight the growing demand for airplanes in the Middle East and Asia as a new target market for both Boeing and Airbus.
The second poster in the series looks at projections and trends for growing markets from reports published by both Boeing and Airbus. As demand for air travel in the Middle East and Asia begin to grow along with increasing deregulation, gaining control of the market in this region will be a high priority for both Boeing and Airbus.
