To develop an elaborate, 3D pop-up card people can obtain in pieces and assemble themselves with the help of a YouTube instructional video.

 

It means people can feel more involved in the gift-giving by assembling the card themselves.  They can save money as it's cheaper to print and die-cut pieces than have the card already-assembled by the manufacturer.  Further, this idea extends to a white, blank version of all the pieces of the card so that people can apply their own artwork before assembly.

 

My self-imposed restrictions were that the pieces need to fit on A4 printed and die-cut paper or cardboard, and that it would have just one glue point in the entire assembly by the customer.

 

This project is at the first stage, which is to obtain feedback from the potential card-buying public and the crafters who have card-making as their hobby.
