Nerd Lunch Visits the Artport Gallery’s The Art of Florida Cartoonists Exhibit
For the sixth episode of "Nerd Lunch Visits," I met up with cartoonist Nathan Archer to discuss the Artport Exhibit hosted at the Tallahassee International Airport. For three months, they were hosting a Florida Cartoonists Exhibit and Nathan had a few pieces on display so he talked to me about the exhibit as a whole and his own work.
Nathan writes and draws a weekly comic strip entitled "Ella" about a cartoon duck. I wanted to have her show up briefly at the end. It was very brief but still took some work to make it look decent. Here was an early version that I sent to Nathan for review and approval.
Shortly after releasing this episode of the series, the COVID-19 global pandemic hit and visiting anything was no longer something to encourage, especially visiting airports. To make up for that, I produced a bonus piece that featured two deleted scenes.
