CBS News partnered with the mobile-only streaming service Quibi to modernize their iconic ‘60 Minutes’ program in the era of ‘bite-sized’ content. Rather than the usual hour-long newsmagazine, CBS News launched ‘60 in 6’ which condenses original news stories into six-minute episodes, bringing the 60-minutes’ style of storytelling, in-depth reporting, and investigative journalism to a new mobile audience. CBS News partnered with us to create a sophisticated show package to compliment this exciting new shift into mobile.

60 Minutes continues to be the gold-standard for television journalism, and we wanted to be sure that we maintained the integrity of the brand while creating a more contemporary take on the packaging. We created a ‘60 in 6’ logo that is a concise evolution of the existing logo, and gave a graphic, modern take on the iconic 60 Minutes’ stopwatch that served as the bedrock for the show package. By incorporating an updated magazine flip and staying within the minimal color scheme, we think we created something that feels right at home on a mobile device, yet feels distinctively 60 Minutes.
