Thickened Dye Rorschach
These table runners were made from on up-cycled cotton/ linen fabric salvaged from curtains found at goodwill. They were printed on using sodium alginate thickened dye which was laid out on plastic sheeting which was folded to create a ink blot like design. The solid ink blot pattern was printed first and the thinner “netted” pattern was printed from the dye that remained on the plastic after the first print
