Final Project
This was my final project for my textile processes class. I naturally dyed a cotton/ linen blend which was originally a set of curtains. I dyed the fabric using black beans, alum, and soy milk, which I let cure for 9 days. I created the pattern myself, and machine sewed it. after construction I screen printed on top of the dress with a silk screen I exposed myself using a natural fabric paint I made using soy milk, french pink clay, and gum tragacanth. I then embroidered the words onto it using organic cotton thread.
