IAK Insurance - the Strip High Tech Campus Eindhoven - the Netherlands

Insurer IAK opened an insurance agency in The Strip, the central facilities building on the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. This building houses a number of catering and retail functions. In the central hall, which is a very high, open space, M+R designed a reception desk and conference room for IAK. The conference room is in the shape of a transparent, green cocoon with curving, lit-up walls. This layout preserves the openness of the area, yet at the same time it allows for private and confidential talks in a secluded environment. The cocoon serves as an eye-catcher both from inside and outside the building. Strategically placed hanging lamps above the counter revert this hugely high interior back to pleasant, human proportions. The desk also provides space for a number of workplaces.
