Hybrid working environment for BDO Accountants & Advisors
With the experience of innovative and flexible working, M+R has designed a hybrid working environment for the 'flagship' office of BDO South Netherlands in the new Bold office building at Strijp S in Eindhoven.
The new innovative office environment for BDO Eindhoven 'Flagship office' is home to the locations in Tilburg; 's-Hertogenbosch, Breda|Roosendaal and Maastricht.
For these locations innovative hubs have been realized in Tilburg (building Plan-T); 's-Hertogenbosch (building Belvedere) and Maastricht (the Colonel) will be realized at the end of 2022 and location Breda|Roosendaal in 2023, all concept and design by M+R.
The innovative office in Eindhoven offers space for meeting, working together, sharing knowledge etc. in a total of almost 5,000 m2 of office space. There are many facilities for the Lines of Services of BDO such as scrum, presentation and meeting rooms. Various workplace concepts can be reserved by employees through a BDO app and are in line with BDO's vision that people can work in the office, at the client's location or from home.
The entrance of the building was also designed by M+R to match a neutral multi-tenant look with various seating areas, a reception area and meeting rooms. On this first floor there is also a work and eat café with a fully equipped kitchen based on local, healthy and organic food. There are several seating areas where you can work as well as enjoy a meal. There is a separate bar with a soccer game and darts.
On the second floor are several meeting rooms and a coffee bar with several seating areas where one can work and meet in an informal atmosphere. This space is connected by an open loft and staircase. Part of the 1st floor is designed as a flexible work environment with various open and closed workstations. Centrally in this part of the building, we have installed voids already during the design phase of the building and a spacious open staircase was designed for a direct connection to the 2nd; 3rd and 4th floor.
This central space is designed as a BDO living room with a large pantry, great coffee and tea, several seating areas, various workstations and lots of green. The number and type of workstations were carefully determined together with the employees in co-creation sessions so that it best fits the way of working, with a clear focus on collaboration and social cohesion of the various lines of services within the BDO South organization. There are also concentration workplaces and quiet areas, although fewer in number, because concentrated work can also be carried out from home.
The new office is located in the vibrant new district of Strijp S and its location, appearance and unique office layout and design make it an attractive building that employees are eager to visit. BDO's new hybrid office strengthens the 'us-feeling' and radiates professionalism and pride.
