Lifetime Assistance Airport 5K Campaign
The Airport 5K is a non-traditional race run right on a main runway at the Rochester International Airport. Instead of handing out traditional fliers, we created balsa flyers to advertise the event.
We then hand stamped each of the planes with a custom flight number, created a contest, and distributed them at area races and festivals. People who recovered an aircraft were directed to the Lifetime Assistance Facebook page to see if their flight number was a winner.
The campaign also included a series of posters resembling baggage tags, boarding pass flyers, paper airplane flyers and a few other aviation related elements.
Each of the 1,000 balsa planes were hand-stamped with a flight number that entered them in a contest to win prizes.
Winning Flight numbers announced daily through Facebook status updates.

Instead of the typical sponsor logo backdrop we turned it into an opportunity for runners to announce how they did in the race. i.e. - Their "Race Status". This was a way bigger hit than we ever imagined.
