Kew Gardens, formally Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, botanical garden located at Kew, site of a former royal estate in the London borough of Richmond upon Thames. In 2003 Kew Gardens was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.

- Founded in 1840, The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew is one of the most extensive and important botanical gardens in the world, housing the “largest and most diverse botanical and mycological collections” around the globe.

- A stunning sanctuary less than 30 minutes from central London.

- Kew Gardens includes more than 50,000 different plants in its living collection, and over 7 million preserved specimens.

- Over 750,000 volumes and illustrations are contained in its library.

- A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it’s also one of London’s most popular attractions.

I chose Kew Gardens as one of my locations for the National Trust brief. I was drawn to this location as there is lots of different buildings and plants there as well as lots of people. I am going to use this location for the brochure as there is a lot of different attractions so I'm more likely to get a variety of images.
