An opportuity was recognized and proposed to Walmart,  to create a content center that would take advantage of a vacancy for Spanish Language content targeting young Moms and help drive repeat visits to Walmart.
 
The challenge was to do so within the rigid Walmart.com environment, and include self financing opportunities for co-op and standard ad spaces. The approach included tools where the user could personalize their experience by selecting content by preference, and the system would learn from their choices proposing additional content of interest, ranked by other visitors. A flexible CMS was put into place to allow easy updates as the content sources grow.  
 
The quality of the content architecture, fluidity of the back end, UX and overall design allowed the time on page to skyrocket from the first week of implementation. A sustained growth encouraged Walmart to turn this into a Total Market solution, where a similar experience was implemented for the General Market. This project opened many doors to additional business opportunities for Walmart.
