Every 23 seconds, a homophobic remark is posted online. For the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, The Emergence Foundation wanted to tackle this problematic
as LGBTQ+ individuals are more prone to suicide following acts of cyberbullying.




In the streets, the homophobic remarks lasted less than 20 minutes. On the radio, our message was aired only once and dozens of calls we logged to take it off the air. All the while, the homophobic remarks used to make the campaign are still online.
