Tarot Card Interpretations

Tarot Cards have always been fascinating for me. The illustration accompanying each card in the traditional Ryder Waite deck mostly puzzled me, but I always liked the meaning and significance behind each card. One summer, I decided to study them a little further and read more about each card. I analyzed some of my favourite illustrations and understood the Christian symbolism in them.

Another interest of mine since I was a child is Indian mythology. So when I put together these two interests of mine, I came up with parallel interpretations of the tarot illustrations from the Indian culture and mythology. I have chosen my favourite cards, studied the illustrations by Pamela Smith and drawn parallels to incidents and stories from the Indian culture and myths.
