Palimpsest (2012) represents five Southern Manitoba towns whose roots can be traced, through the non-cardinal layout of their road plans, to the iron band of the railroad that once forged across the prairies. While the railways no longer connect these settlements, its palimpsest still lives on through traces in the landscape, and layout of these towns, even as they sink into the sea of fields that surround them.
