I'm Coming to you, Atlantic
Rain came
today and a broken
egg shell,
painted periwinkle blues
painted periwinkle blues
lolls on the gushing lawn.
The wheat stitched seat glued
into the mottled underside —
Toy soldier in the boat
gun cocked high
pounding water falls in
subterranean basins below citywalks.
Rats spur chance and dance on plastic
rivers in swollen sewers.

Trapped echoes in the tunnel —
Trapped echoes in the tunnel —
roaring oceanic tides pull the
empty calcium home
closer to the smiling upswing of a
wave swell.
